Benjamin Taulli leverages his policy expertise and military background to support and strengthen the energy resilience posture of installations and defense communities.
At Converge Strategies, Benjamin supports the Department of Defense in driving energy resilience policies, practices, and processes to strengthen grid security and reliability. Ben advises defense stakeholders on innovative grid technologies and strategies to support critical missions.
Prior to joining Converge Strategies, Benjamin conducted executive branch engagement, congressional advocacy, and policy analysis for Venn Strategies’ critical infrastructure team supporting clients across the critical mineral, energy technology, and supply chain portfolios. Specifically, he worked with clients on policy focused on building secure, resilient supply chains to reduce reliance on foreign adversaries and promote public-private partnerships to secure investments and capitalize on tax incentives.
Working through the Center for Climate and Security, Benjamin has published research evaluating the national security implications of the United States dependence on China for critical minerals and battery supply chain through the context of the energy transition. In partnership with the Naval War College, Benjamin contributed to the design and execution of table-top exercises simulating major supply disruption and involving academics, federal officials, and defense stakeholders.

Military Experience
Benjamin served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force and he facilitated Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations and conducted “advise and assist” missions with foreign partners around the world. He was a member of the first joint task force to facilitate intelligence sharing and “advise and assist” Ukrainian Armed Forces general staff during their summer 2023 offensive. Benjamin’s service in the Air Force honed his ability to synthesize complex information, coordinate cross functional teams, and leverage disparate resources to accomplish no fail missions.
