Adair Douglas

Adair Douglas, Director, Converge Strategies

Adair specializes in strategic communications and network development at the intersection of energy resilience and national security. For over a decade, she has worked to connect and align the people and organizations required to strengthen the resilience of our communities and infrastructure.

Adair believes electricity is essential to everything we value — national security, economic prosperity, public health, the basic functioning of modern life — and worth fighting to protect. She helps the organizations working to secure it find their voice, build trust, and reach the people who need to hear them. Her work spans brand development, messaging strategy, stakeholder engagement, and coalition-building. She has built the identity for programs including the Military Energy Resilience Catalyst (MERC) Program, the RISE Consortium™, and Converge Federal Solutions.

Adair has grown Converge Strategies’ facilitation practice by designing more than 50 workshops for communities, cities, states, private organizations, the U.S. Department of War, and the U.S. Department of Energy. These workshops have led to direct project support for resilience initiatives at military installations, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, and many of the DOE’s National Laboratories.

Before joining Converge Strategies, Adair was a Government Affairs Manager leading external advocacy efforts and outreach programs with energy trade associations, electric industry stakeholders, and policymakers. She organized briefings on Capitol Hill and engaged with the White House on strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure.

Adair was selected for the Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI)’s 2021 Cohort.
