Sam Horowitz
Sam Horowitz leverages his experience in environmental policy, climate resilience, and hazard mitigation to advance innovative and resilient clean energy solutions.
At Converge Strategies, Sam applies his research, policy, and stakeholder engagement skills to strengthen resilience and energy security for federal, state, local, and nonprofit clients. His focus involves conducting research efforts, strategic planning processes, and interactive workshops to identify opportunities for enhancing resilience.
Prior to joining Converge Strategies, Sam spearheaded the climate change strategy for the New York State Hazard Mitigation Plan process. Previously, Sam supported NEPA regulatory revisions at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, advised multiple presidential campaigns on climate policy and messaging, and collaborated alongside several community-based organizations across the U.S. on innovative decarbonization and resilience projects. He has been recognized as a Kerry Fellow by the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, a Future Climate Leader by the Aspen Institute, and served on the board of the Udall Alumni Association.
